Relocate DXB ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. It applies to all users of the Relocate DXB platform at relocatedxb.com.

1. Who we are

Relocate DXB is a relocation intelligence platform. For the purposes of UK GDPR and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), we are the data controller of the personal information you provide to us.

2. What data we collect

We may collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Contact information: name, email address, and phone number when you submit our Find My Area form or enquiry forms.
  • Preference data: budget range, lifestyle preferences, preferred areas, and timeline that you provide through our matching tool.
  • Usage data: pages visited, time on site, and interactions with the map — collected via analytics cookies.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and referral source collected automatically when you visit the Platform.

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as financial account details, passport numbers, or health information.

3. How we use your data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To match you with suitable Dubai neighbourhoods based on your stated preferences.
  • To connect you with vetted property agents where you have requested this service.
  • To respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
  • To improve the Platform through analytics and user behaviour data.
  • To send you relevant information about Dubai relocation, with your consent.

4. Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)

We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Consent: where you have provided explicit consent (e.g. submitting your details for an agent introduction or marketing communications).
  • Legitimate interests: for analytics, platform improvement, and fraud prevention, where this does not override your rights.
  • Contract: where processing is necessary to deliver the service you have requested.

5. Sharing your data

We share your personal data only in the following circumstances:

  • Vetted property agents: where you have explicitly requested an agent introduction. Agents are RERA-registered and bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Service providers: trusted third parties who assist us in operating the Platform (e.g. database, analytics, email providers), under data processing agreements.
  • Legal obligations: where required by law, regulation, or court order.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide the services you have requested, or as required by law. Lead data shared with agents is retained for a maximum of 24 months. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. You may request deletion at any time.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for the Platform to function, and optional analytics cookies to understand how users interact with the site. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Platform, including the interactive map.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the UAE PDPL, you have the following rights:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@relocatedxb.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. International transfers

Your data may be processed in the UAE, the UK, or the European Economic Area. Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection law, including standard contractual clauses where required.

10. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to us electronically.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

12. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, or the UAE Data Office where applicable.
