The UAE is increasingly pet-friendly, but the import process is tightly regulated by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE). All pets must enter the country as "manifested cargo" - they cannot travel in the cabin on commercial flights into the UAE.

- Dubai Hills Estate: Large open spaces and pet-friendly cafes.
- Victory Heights: Exceptional for larger dogs who need space.

- Dubai Marina: High density; dogs often restricted on the Promenade.
- Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR): Limited green space for exercise.
